Job Title: User Interface Designer
As a User Interface Designer, you will play a vital role in translating high-level requirements into visually appealing and highly functional user interfaces. Your responsibilities include creating personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications. You will be tasked with transforming complex design challenges into intuitive and beautiful user interfaces, while also adhering to Android and iOS UI standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all visual design stages, from conceptualization to the final hand-off to engineering.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards for creating consistent and effective user interfaces.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback when necessary to ensure designs are user-centric.
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts.
- Conceptualize innovative design ideas that simplify complex challenges, creating user-friendly solutions.
- Collaborate effectively in an agile environment, working closely with developers, product managers, product owners, and technical writers.
- Communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design decisions, design rationale, and research findings clearly and visually.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for design, with a strong attention to detail in creating visual designs that effectively convey product function. This includes screen layouts, color palettes, typography, user interface elements, icons, and cohesive design systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes, continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Create mockups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to effectively convey design concepts.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in accessible projects you have built.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in visual and interaction design, with at least 3 years in Experience Design.
- Deep understanding of iOS and Android UI conventions, including material design.
- Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, or similar applications.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping tools like Axure, Keynote, Framer, Principle, or equivalent.
- Ability to distill complex problems into clean and effective design solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
